Indigi Mama Midwifery and Doula Services offers prenatal and postnatal care focusing on home birth and offering a safe, sacred space for families to utilize for their birth experience, as well as honoring and creating a sacred space at the hospital if needed. Giving birth is a sacred act, and I provide high quality and professional services with love and respect.
My aim is to relieve the local communities of Tofino, Ucluelet, and the Nuu Chah Nulth First Nations of the need for travel to Port Alberni for prenatal care, labor, and delivery in healthy, low-risk pregnancies. Bringing birth home to the west coast of Vancouver Island is a beautiful thing.
However, today's tough economic conditions make it difficult for Indigi Mama to meet those needs without help from people like you. I am writing to invite your business to donate an item or gift certificate for the fund-raising auction. All donation items are donated by businesses like yours - as well as by local artisans, and community members.
I hope to make these the biggest fund-raising events of the year for Indigi Mama and it will take place in Tofino, Port Alberni, and Vancouver this spring. I aim to raise $5,000.00 or more!
Benefits of Supporting Indigi Mama:
Your business will be recognized on all promotional materials, for Indigi Mama, and you will be acknowledged as community leaders and supporters of a traditional aboriginal midwife.
Your donation will also be acknowledged on my website and newsletter. I will also mention your support in interviews.
All contributions to Indigi Mama will go towards funding for education tuiton, a birth kit, and promoting Indigi Mama.
You can take pride in supporting the movement to bring birth home to the Nuu Chah Nulth First Nations and to all the women of the west coast of Vancouver Island.
Please know that all contributions you make will positively impact our growth as Nuu Chah Nulth First Nations and especially traditional midwifery. All donations and the proceeds will be utilized for travel to a birth clinic in Haiti, to attend my practicum run by my school Mamma Primitiva.
